Newport News, Virginia – August 12, 2024 – As the Future Forward Summer Campaign enters its final week, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula is reaching out to the community for support. With just one week left to invest in this vital initiative, they are only $16,000 away from their goal of $200,000.
Since its launch on April 23rd during Give Local 757, the Future Forward Summer Campaign has aimed to empower the youth of the Virginia Peninsula through enriching programming and essential financial aid for those in need. This initiative is crucial as the organization works to cover increased operational and personnel expenses during the summer months, a time when many Club kids depend on them for support.
Hal Smith, President & CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula, stated, “The community has shown incredible generosity throughout this campaign, but we still need your help. Every contribution brings us closer to our goal and ensures that thousands of local youths can access the opportunities they deserve as we close out the summer.”
The campaign will conclude on August 17, and the organization invites everyone to participate in this important effort. Supporters can engage in peer-to-peer fundraising, becoming their own fundraisers to amplify their impact.
