Newport News, Virginia – Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula is thrilled to announce the launch of its Future Forward Summer Campaign, an initiative designed to empower the youth of the Virginia Peninsula through dynamic and holistic programming. The campaign kicked off on April 23rd with Give Local 757 giving and will run through August 17.

As the summer months approach, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula is calling upon the community to join hands in making a significant difference in the lives of hundreds of Club kids who rely on the organization for support. The campaign aims not only to cover the increase in operational and personnel expenses during this critical time but also to provide essential financial aid to those facing special needs through program scholarships.

“With your support, we can ensure that thousands of Peninsula youth have access to enriching programming and opportunities that will shape their futures,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula President & CEO, Hal Smith. “Every gift goes directly towards creating a brighter tomorrow for these young individuals, fostering their growth, and nurturing their potential.”

The Future Forward Summer Campaign seeks to pave the way for a summer filled with inspiration, learning, and endless possibilities. By joining forces with the community, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Virginia Peninsula aims to move forward towards a future where every child has the chance to thrive. The goal of this campaign is to raise $200,000.00 and will include peer to peer fundraising where supporters can essentially become their own fundraiser to help the cause.

“We invite everyone to join us in empowering tomorrow’s leaders,” added Chief Development Officer, Madison Owens. “Together, let’s make a lasting impact and ensure that every child on the Virginia Peninsula has the opportunity to reach their full potential through our dynamic offerings.”
