Josiah Montgomery is a young man, who is a leader by example. As the vice president of Keystone at his Unit, and a member of the junior staff program, Josiah has many individuals who look up to, and admire him.
Josiah's ability to not only admit when things have gone wrong, but to take the necessary steps to fix it, is a quality which makes him such a strong leader. Josiah wants others around him to learn from his mistakes and successes, to help other's in his Boys & Girls Club family.
Growing up, Josiah did not always receive the attention he desired from a male figure. He desperately wanted a role model to teach him how to grow up to become a gentleman, but the company of a male figure's presence was often uncertain. The one place that he relied on was the Boys & Girls Club.
"It has always been there for me. When I had no one to turn to, I could always turn to the Club."
Josiah attends the Boys & Girls Club with his younger brother, who he wants to help become a better version of himself. He helps his brother academically, is his brother's safe guard, and is most importantly his best friend.
After high school, Josiah plans to attend college, and hopes to play basketball for his school. While he is not sure exactly what he wants to be when he grows up, he is sure of one thing: "I want to help the kids."
